Mrs. Sarah Maloy
This is my 2nd year as a school counselor, although I do have a background in working with at-risk-youth and students with behaviorial issues. I obtained my bachelor's degere in psychology from Corban University and my master's degree in school counseling from Liberty University. I provide services and support to students and their families through individual counseling, small groups, whole group lessons, social-emotional learning, consultation services, solution-focused counseling, and collaborate with other professionals and community stakeholders. I moved from Boston last year with my husband, Erik, and dog, Maverick. We're enjoying our slower-paced life in Tennessee. We have two adult children, Casey and Kayla. I love spending time with family and friends, cooking, reading, and traveling.

Ms. Mariah Cruz
Hi there! This is my third year as a school counselor at BMES. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in psychology and my master’s degree in school counseling from Austin Peay State University. I then continued my education with the University of West Alabama and received a specialist degree in counseling leadership. As a school counselor, I provide many services to students and their families such as individual counseling, small group counseling, classroom lessons, social-emotional learning initiatives, consultation services, and collaborative efforts with other professionals. It is truly a privilege to work with such amazing students and families.
